The new addition to a Zero Waste Kitchen
A sustainable design made from cork
Montados by Marlene Bruch is a concept for a recycled cork lid, able to seal containers of different sizes and materials. Closing them airtight is no problem with Montados grooves, contrary on both sides.
There are three available sizes, which can be locked together. The material can be recycled many times without using any binders. As the material stays in its natural form, Montados is biodegradabe and compostable. It could become the new addition to a zero waste home, as it replaces aluminum and plastic foil when storing away leftovers.
What do you think? Would you want to use Montados in your kitchen as a sustainable alternative? The designer is still searching for investors/companies to manufacture the design.
